We’re a charity caring for a 2,200-acre landscape in Essex, home to trees from across the world, inspiring gardens and ancient woodland. With help from our amazing team of experts and volunteers, our grounds are open all seasons for visitors (not forgetting our four-legged friends!) to:

  • Explore more than 5,000 trees in our arboretum – click here for the Arboretum Explorer!
  • Marvel at beautiful plantings in the Walled Garden, home to the largest herbaceous border in Essex, and the Flower Garden
  • Discover natural play areas, Percy’s Play & Picnic Paddock and family events

With your support, we can ensure that our striking heritage landscape can be enjoyed by future generations. All in keeping with the vision set by the last private owner, Thomas Phillips Price.

In trust for the nation “for the advancement of agriculture, arboriculture and forestry.”
