What’s on

Happy Birthday Markshall Estate!

We’re celebrating 50 years of Markshall Estate as a charity, and this Sunday, for one day only, you can visit us for just £2 per person – the same price as admission to the Arboretum was when we first opened its gates to the public in 1993!

To kick off the celebrations, join us in the Arboretum for Wild Sunday, where the Markshall Estate Team will be on hand to guide families of all ages through fun crafts and adventure play in The Wild Wood.

Catch our special birthday playlist playing throughout the day in the Visitor Centre and Shop. The Orchard Kitchen café will also be serving up a special birthday cake and selection of celebratory cupcakes for the occasion. Those looking for a pick me up may also spot a special dusting of chocolate on their cappuccinos displaying the new Markshall Estate logo created especially for the anniversary year.

Visitors will be able to get a sneak peek of the brand new 50th anniversary range in the recently opened Shop, including notepads, bags and a gold embossed postcard range specially made for the celebration year. A competition prize will also be running to win £50 of vouchers.

As part of our anniversary week a brand-new membership programme is launching – Friends of Markshall Estate. The annual scheme brings a host of new benefits including free admission year-round, discounts in the Shop, café and on selected events, Friends Only events and more. The new programme also comes with a new name, reflecting the close community and support given to the Estate. All visitors who sign up on the day to become a Friend will receive their admission ticket fully refunded.

As always, you can explore the 2,350-acre Estate and its world-class Arboretum and Woodland Walks, showcasing the reds, golds and browns of autumn colour throughout.
