Happy #CharityTuesday everyone! Earlier this year, our dedicated Arboretum Volunteers teamed up with the Arboretum and Horticulture Team to make a real difference in Nunty’s Wood.
What was the mission? Well, brace yourselves for some green magic! Approximately, 1,000 hazels were planted, and let me tell you, it was a sight to behold! Each hazel planted represents a step forward in the regeneration of our beloved ancient woodland, restoring its vitality and ensuring its legacy for generations to come.
We were lucky enough to capture some of these precious moments on camera, thanks to Volunteer Photographer Bryan. Seeing hazel being carefully placed into the earth was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
But the magic doesn’t stop there! These hazels aren’t just trees; they’re beacons of hope for local wildlife. From busy bees to frolicking foxes, from curious mice to hopping hares, the diverse habitats created by these hazels will be a haven for countless species.
Efforts weren’t just about planting trees; they were about nurturing life, fostering biodiversity, and protecting the natural world that we hold so dear. And it’s all thanks to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support of our incredible volunteers and team members.
So, here’s to each one of our team who rolled up their sleeves, donned their boots and go stuck in. Their passion, their commitment, and their love for nature are what make projects like these truly magical. Let’s continue to grow, thieve, and make a positive impact together. Onwards, upwards, and greener than ever!
