Why should humans have all the fun? Our Estate has acres of woodland to sniff at, roll in and generally give your four-legged friend the time of their lives.
Due to popular demand and lots of puppy dog eyes, dogs are welcome in the Arboretum and onto our Woodland Walks whenever we’re open. Please read our Doggy Code of Conduct so everyone can enjoy their visit.
You and your dog can escape into nature and adventure along one of our Woodland Walks. These circular trails vary in length from ¾ of a mile to 2½ miles, and they are all colour coded to keep you on track.
Please note that the only two dog free zones onsite are the Walled Garden and Orchard Kitchen. But there is still more than 200 acres to explore with your fur-friend!
As Markshall Estate is a conservation landscape, we ask that dogs be kept under control at all times and any mess is bagged and binned. Why? So we can turn it into electricity of course. The Poo Patrol company, a brilliant Essex start-up, uses a special facility to convert poop into fuel which heats and powers a number of hospitals and buildings in the UK. So do your bit to help out.
A friendly reminder that all visitors and dog walkers alike must pay the admission fees at the kiosk, or join as Friends, unless they are passing through the public footpath section on foot.
